An Introduction to Creating Picture Books
On this friendly beginners course, you will learn the essentials of creating contemporary picture books for children with award winning author / illustrator Claire Alexander. You will explore narrative themes and structures, create your own ideas for stories, develop convincing characters and experiment with a range of mediums to illustrate them. You will also gain an overview of the contemporary picture book market and learn how to make a book dummy to present to publishers.
