Parisian Mayor Bertrand Delanoë's letter to TFL

It is with great pleasure that I received the Claire Alexander limited edition print, Prologue, which demonstrates her talent for capturing the unique moments of the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in London.

I want to thank you, not only for the gift but also for the accompanying letter: and to warmly congratulate the artist. For me it is an example of a successful partnership, from one part of the Channel to the other, on the part of everyone that worked on the excellent organisation of the event. Its success is a sign that around a share passion, one speaks the same language, that of sport, of meeting, of a taste of having hosted an event together.

The trip was a real pleasure. Today I have had joy of being reminding of it, thanks to you, this shared history lived with enthusiasm between our two capitals and our two countries.
