Claire follows a simple commissioning procedure that ensures she quickly identifies the expectations and wishes of her clients, encouraging communication between both parties at every stage.

Claire prefers to work from
photographs she has taken herself,
or from live sittings when appropriate. Where a client would like to commission as a surprise gift, Claire will also work from existing photographs.

Initially Claire requires a meeting of 1 hour with the commissioner in which to gather information about the subject and where appropriate take photographs.

She will then produce a preparatory
drawing to be approved by the
commissioner, usually sent via email,
before embarking on the finished
piece.

Costs are quoted on an individual basis depending on the size and scale of each project. Lead-times usually vary from 8 - 12 weeks. A deposit of 50% is required at the time of commissioning.
